Prosthetic replacement for subcapital fractures of the femur: A comparative survey

      The records of 153 patients with subcapital fractures of the femur have been studied to determine the overall mortality- and morbidity-rates.
      A direct comparison of the results of prosthetic replacement of the femoral head using Austin Moore and F. R. Thompson prostheses has been possible and shows the Thompson prosthesis to be superior.
