There is a known synergy between art and medicine, which is curious in itself. At
school, I was advised one could either study sciences or ‘the arts’. Science it was,
for me, which appealed to my slightly binary way of thinking, but led to some mild
confusion when I was told that practising medicine (my ultimate aim) was more of an
art than a science!
