      Purpose: Symptomatic venous thromboembolism (SVTE) is a potentially significant complication which may occur following injury or surgery. The NICE framework was established despite a complete lack of evidence with no studies investigating the risk factors for or incidence of SVTE in NOF. We aim to produce a validated risk score to inform clinical practice.
